King Salmon Fishing Charters

...

The chinook, or king salmon, is a foreign contender for the throne of Grand Traverse Bay. First introduced in the 1870s, the king salmon quickly died out and did not manage to secure a foothold into the ecosystem until reintroduction efforts in the 1960s. Despite their title of “king”, the chinook still struggle to survive in the great lakes and must be maintained by an annual stream stocking program. They prefer shallower waters which provide them with warmth and a steady food source. When you hook a king salmon, you will quickly understand how they maintain their regal title. A massive fish, the chinook knows how to fight even the most experienced angler. Luckily, Captain Adam knows how to play the line enough to wear these monsters out and help you catch the best dinner you can imagine.
