The king salmon is one of the most prized fish in all of freshwater and has earned its name as the “king” with its power, speed, and size. Our YarCraft 219tfx is fully equipped to catch the king of Lake Michigan! Salmon move up and down the lake throughout the summer chasing baitfish and with the ability to trailer to multiple ports with our YarCraft we can, in turn, chase the salmon.
There is something special about little boat salmon fishing in places like Frankfort, Leland, the Manitou Islands, and Grand Traverse Bay. With the ability to move from port to port, we can target salmon throughout the summer months. June and July offer great early season action while August and September offer the best chance to catch the most big fish in a trip. Our salmon trolling trips out of our YarCraft 219 can accommodate up to 4 people with 2-3 people groups being the most comfortable.
